huh?
Anemoia is the nostalgia for a time or place you've never known. Anhedonia is an abnormal lack of interest for things that normally bring you joy. This album covers those two concepts, and invites the listener to consider how they're connected.

The history
I started making music around 2013, but only started making lyrical pop music around 2017. I had concepts for albums, but never could produce anything I felt was worth releasing. Around 2021, after being hit by a one-two punch of inspiration from "Crimson & Clover" by Tommy James & the Shondells and "Welcome to the City" from the Deltarune soundtrack, I developed a style of music I would want to listen to, and remade a bunch of my favorite songs I made from 2017-2021 with shiny new coats (as well as making a few new songs).

The inspiration
In freshman year of college, being hundreds of miles from my home, I developed frequent bouts with depression, and often receeded into video games, music, and videos from earlier, more stable times in my life. When I found my sound for Anemoia & Anhedonia, I realized a lot of my favorite songs I had picked out for it dealt with these themes, and found comfort in using these songs as a way to go back into musical stories I made when I was younger.
